Uganda is a beautiful country commonly known as the ‘Pearl of Africa’, endowed with natural green vegetation, hills and mountains. It has many tourist attraction activities including game parks, mountain climbing, gorilla tracking and white water rafting. Uganda has however suffered a period of insurgency coupled with dictatorship from 1979-1986, and the 20 year long civil war in the North of Uganda caused socio-economic havoc and emotional devastation for countless people. Now with peace talks under way, and a new multi-party political system in place, Uganda is enjoying economic growth and increasing stability.
